Octopus

A coastal mollusc found at depths of 15 to 600 metres. Eight arms with suckers and the ability to change colour. The most productive season runs from June to October, using trawls and pots.

A broad, oval and flattened body, usually 30 to 40 cm long. Found down to 250 metres on sandy or sedimentary bottoms, where it partially buries itself to hunt.

Squid

Commercially known as squid or, in smaller sizes, chipiron. Found between 15 and 600 metres. Characteristic cylindrical body with two rhomboid fins. Optimal catch from June to August using trawls or jigs.
